Yes, please don't wait too much longer to get it done. I wish I had done my Cervical Spine Fusion sooner because waiting really affected my fingers and arms. I was so into doing arts, crafts and painting and some how my fingers couldn't do it anymore. Everything was so numb. Over time it got better but still have problems holding a needle and sewing by hand. No problem using a sewing machine.

My problem was getting the MRI done. I'm very claustophobic and couldn't do the enclosed MRI.

I took me more than a year with pain until the stand/up/sit MRI came along.

You will get relief and would wonder why you did not do it before.

Glad to see your update and that there is consistency between different specialists on what you need.

We are total opposites when it comes finding the source of an ailment, especially so when it comes to one's spine. Conditions that doctors say "need to be corrected", never improve over time. It in fact is just the opposite. Over time just the job of weight bearing, when upright, puts a lot of stress on all parts of the spine.

I have always been, and will continue to be, one that when the "source" of any major physical issue is found! There is no wait and see/think it over, it's "how soon can you schedule this procedure"?

Not knowing your overall physical condition, I will only say this, and this is exactly the same words i told my wife about her TKR. "You are ×× years old now, and in pretty good physical condition. By waiting till WXYZ there is no guarantee you will be better prepared, but odds of being less so"?

Have been through a myriad of physical issues, including my Lumbar and Cervical Spine. When the source was identified, I did precisely what I said above, when!
