"Flurries" all day in downtown Chicago but no accumulation, thank goodness, at least not so far.  So dismal though--it's depressing.  Haven't seen the sun for more than a few hours all week.

@depglass  a possibility - changing my name to Snow Lily. I'll see how much of that white stuff we have when I get up tomorrow LOL.

I figure it's easier to shovel a couple inches at a time than trying to battle deeper accumulation. I'm going to try some pet safe ice salt this evening, too.

very sad that this was a bust in the baltimore area.

i had  my hopes up all week long and we are getting just rain/freezing rain rather than snow.

@kaydee50.  We have so much bright sunshine in the winter, a dismal day is a rare treat.  Today is bright and sunny but I have high hopes for tomorrow when the next storm starts to move in.

When we lived in Henderson, NV I LOVED cloudy days!  Got so tired of the endless sunshine--LOL!!

@sunshine45.  Don't give up hope.  There are several storms out in the Pacific which will move onshore and across the country.  The meteorologist say El Nino has kicked in.

we started with flurries around 10:30, increased to 'snow', very little accumulation by 3:00 or so.  now all rain. 

we in are Philadelphia suburb.

they are calling for rain all night. 

it is beyond miserable. 

we have had no sun for 7 days. (last week)

a day and a half with sun (Tuesday-Wednesday, this week)  then back to gray clouds since thursday.  

no sunny day in sight. 

it going to be a L-O-N-G gray winter I predict

enjoy the sunshine if u have it!  soak it in!!!

@Desertdi.  You must be getting the leading edge of the next storm for us which is bringing very cold temperatures.  Our prediction for Tuesday is high of 25° low of 9°.
