I'm in La. We generally have very mild winters, but this one has been the exception. Several freezing nights killed everything. But this morning, I noticed my fig tree is budding with leaves and tiny starts of figs. Nice to see.

@Imaoldhippie  My dad's entire family is from Western NC - Stecoah. What a beautiful area. Parents met and married in Asheville.

Central Midwest checking in. Winter has been a roller coaster ride of warm / cool & rainy / cold / sleet. I tease my grandsons who live in AZ -- sad they don't get days off school because of ice or tornadoes! March will be windy, rainy and cool. April through early December should be comfortable.

as I take my daily walks, i do see crocuses peaking out the grounds.

it has been so wet and cold here for so many months not sure when spring will ever show its beauty. The trees (some trees—not all), have begun to bud.
