Re: Scariest problem in oklahoma

Smart idea to check your shoes!  More often than once I've heard about them going into peoples' shoes.

We have them here but I haven't had to deal with one in decades.  One time, in 1979, when I last lived in an apartment, we had a place where you walk in and you are on the top floor (living rm, din rm, kitchen, etc) and then right inside the door there were stairs going down to the bdrms and another bath.

Anyway, a large scorpion had gotten in the apartment and down the stairs into our bathroom.  I came home from work after my husband, who was down there and he yelled at me DON'T COME DOWN HERE.  I thought that was weird because he never yelled.

But he had found one in the bathtub down there and didn't want me to be freaked out so he was dealing with it.   Let me tell ya, the big ones are not super easy to kill.  He had a time with that one!  I never had to see anything.  Smiley Happy

Just wondering if plugging in those ultra-sonic pest and mice repellents might work?  They do keep spiders away.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

@ROMARY that is a great idea and I will look into it.I hate the use of pesticides on a regular basis.

Sounds like scorpions can be very small.  I've always imagined they were bigger, like 8" - 9".
