The last few years we have not had much snow.

We thought that was going to be a continuation this winter.

What is being forcast for us this coming few days is the winter of what I remember growing up.

Winter.!

We won't have rain but light snow and for the next 4 days here in the Denver metro area we'll be at zero or below zero for the low.

That's stinkin cold and our furnace and energy systems will be taxed.  Brrrrrr!

Re: STORMS AGAIN TOMORROW?

[ Edited ]

The suns shining today with a high of 55°. I better enjoy it while it lasts since an Artic Blast is moving in late tonight with a low of 14°. Pipe busting weather coming.

Fri   high of 33° low of 7°

Sat  high of 19° low of 0°

Sun high of  8°  low of 1°

Mon high of  8° low of -3°

Tues we get up to 21°

The house behind us has been empty at least 10 yrs for some reason. Guess the owner was over there last night. He put a chair in the middle of the living room where he hung a light bulb to warm the house? I don't think that's going to work? LOL!!! We know the gas meter was pulled long ago so no heat running in his house. Evidently it's not winterized with nobody living in it. I don't get why he doesn't rent it?

@Shanus.  Haven5 you heard about El Nino?  It's alive and well this year in the Pacific creating storms.  We've had two this week with a third expected this coming week-end.  Unfortunately in the Albuquerque area, we mostly get just cold temps and big wind.

This explains the phenomenon...

We have a winter storm watch in effect, which will likely turn into a winter storm warning, and possibly a blizzard warning sometime later today. Forecast is for 10-15" of snow starting late morning tomorrow thru Saturday afternoon. Immediately after that, the lake effect snow machine will kick in and dump more snow. That will be followed by single digit temperatures. It's winter. It happens.

I did go to the grocery store today, but only because it's one of my regular shopping days.  No crowds, no run on "bread and milk" (I don't get that one anyway), just a normal Thursday in Michigan.

Here in northern Delaware we haven't yet recovered from the massive rain and wind storm from Tuesday.  Some roads are still closed due to downed trees and flooding and many schools are closed b/c of power outages.  We will be hit with a similar storm tomorrow night.

Enjoyed sunshine and 44 degrees in southern WV today.  Expecting 50 degrees and rain tomorrow, then low 30's and flurries for the weekend into next week.

70 degrees in NOLA today but temps in the low 20s expected early next week.  Ugh.  Time to bring in all of the potted plants, cover what's outside and hope for the best.  Needless to say, this is not our usual winter weather. There go my hibiscus again!

We're located on the Southern edge of Lake Superior in a small rural town.  Literally live approximately 3 blocks from the lake shore. We're supposed to get up to 18" of snow starting late Fri afternoon along with possible 50 mph winds and freezing water spray coming off the lake along with temp dropping into below zero range. YIKES!!

So not looking forward at all to this as everything comes to a stand still.  Definitely will not be able to travel for several days I'm sure.  I don't mind summer rain storms, but winter storms really scare me as we're basically TRAPPED when they get as severe as this one is predicted to be.  In our area if a snow storm is too strong, even plowing comes to a hault. Makes it frightening if there's an emergency as there is no way out.

Wishing you all safety if you too are in the wake of this.
