*****SHABBAT SHALOM MAY 22ND*****

[ Edited ]

Shabbat Shalom, Happy Friday and Memorial Day weekend.

I woke up to a rainy, stormy forecast for the next several days and supposedly into next week. I  know we needed the rain. Some areas have had more than enough.

After taking Molly out, I was soaked and had to change all my clothes. I may have to check if my sneakers can be washed, too.

No plans for us. The kids are visiting my DIL's family in NoVA. We're just going out for dinner one nite and maybe trips to Target, mall, HomeGoods and Sam's. over the next few days. Our Costco is really far away, but we used to go when the kids were home. I liked it much better than Sam's.

Have a wonderful , relaxing and safe long weekend.

Shanus Heart

Laying low here as well.  Don't want to be traveling anywhere far.  Having breakfast with my girlfriend tomorrow and maybe dinner out over the weekend.   Will probably do a little more plant shopping and need cucumbers for my garden.  I've just put the tomatoes in the ground and planting the eggplant later.

Enjoy the holiday everyone,  but let's not forget what it represents and keep that in our hearts.

@nyc1   It's true that many think of this weekend as SALES!!!

It is a time to remember those who fought to keep us safe and free. Let's remember those serving in the Armed Forces and died for us.

Not going to be a very nice weekend weather wise for a lot of folks. Cool, rainy and windy her in Pa after having a heat wave earlier in the week (3 days in a row 90+ temps). I'll meet up with my sister tomorrow for lunch and the usual trip to the mall. Also, thinking of those who sacrificed so much for us.

Shabbat Shalom.  Am off today, at car dealership for some maintenance on my 2015 corrolla.  I work in retail, so I  will be working Saturday and Memorial Day. I live in bergen county and Paramus has Blue law, so stores are closed on Sunday.

We are supposed to get rain, and need it, but it really hasn't happened yet.

Slow weekend here also.

Had the best breakfast experience last Saturday. . The Community Kitchen Cafe is a non-profit training students (including adults) for jobs in the restaurant industry.   One of the students (Ethiopian) mentioned the menu will have standard American fare, some seasonial items, and some items reflecting the diversity of cultures in their students.  As he said "listen to all the different accents in here"   It was such a positive, enthusiastic and happy place that I was smiling for the rest of the day.

Happy Friday and an enjoyable weekend to all!

I fly my large flag this weekend for all who served, serve, and for my late husband - an Air Force vet.

I watched a memorial service last evening and probably shouldn't have.  I was stunned to hear that this person had passed on.  Seems like I'm going through a grief phase of my journey in life.

I don't go out and we never went out and joined the crowds on the holidays here.  So many unruly people and they just want to go to the casinos or drink or go to Vegas. Guess we were just two old fuddy duddies.  We'd have a BBQ and enjoy one anothers company.

I know I will have some folks drop by to visit so I have to make certain I am ready.
