Personally, not a fan of either Dr. Phil or his wife.

I wish they would walk into the sunset together.

@libbyannE  I agree with you - I think this is what many abused wives do - they constantly give in because the consequences are so awful if they don't. The resentment builds up and BANG - they crack and something horrible happens.

Dr. Phil is on Stephen Colbert! He mention he has been married now for 40 years. (Us, too!). Stephen asked what the secret is. He said that he decided he'd rather be happy that right! So, how about you? If you could only be one or the other, which would be your choice?

(Hint: I'm assuming he means that if he corrects his wife, or proves a point, he will cause a fight or hard feelings.  So, if proving you are right about something would cause hard feelings between you and your SO, would you still go ahead and prove to SO you are right, or would you rather keep your mouth shut to keep the peace?

Word is she's, uh,  rather difficult and he most likely doesn't have a pre-nup.   Divorcing her would be an absolute  nightmare!

I bet Mrs. Phil wears the pants!👖

Happy. It's the main reason I don't bother responding to a lot of stuff online. Just not worth it. Luckily I don't have that issue with my husband.

If you are both happy, it doesn't bother either one of you who may be right.  You figured out how to make your relationship work.

After 45 years of marriage I would say, he's everything I'm not and I'm everything he's not. I would say happy.
