Re: Recluse behavior anyone?

I relate to a lot of these insights. When I look at my calendar I'm always relieved when I see a week without any appointments. They're rare. There's always something. When I see my week start to fill up with appointments I gnash my teeth. I love having long expanses of time during which I can stay home with the pets and work on gardens and hobbies, sleep as much as I want and enjoy the quiet.

Re: Recluse behavior anyone?

I can really relate to the post about not going out. Senior citizen, very retired, don't really like crowds of people anymore so I do grocery delivery as well as other store deliveries. I am good with me doing what I want , when I want .....I don't consider myself as a recluse . I'm good. When I do go out, I realize I have not missed anything. The same tailgating drivers, handicap stealer shoppers, rude customer service people and goodness gracious if you say "hello" to anyone they look at you like you have 2 heads. Therefore it is safer for all of them if I just do my thing. FYI Kim just said she is bringing her jewelry next month.........and Mary just said we should get all 3 pieces....lord help us all........

Re: Recluse behavior anyone?

Hello.I have come to the conclusion I no longer have to walk to anybody's drumbeat. Honestly, I was starting to worry because I DON'T want to go out but thanks to you ladies on this chat, I feel I am okay. I have a neighbor who said to me after my husband passed away 2 years ago,  she hates the idea of me living alone. So I responded  to her with I do what I want , when I want to include wearing my pajamas all day, not answering the door, eating junk food, no makeup, taking naps and watching whatever on the television. She ask didn't I want to size down instead of living alone in my house? To this I responded, I believe it is time for you to go home." Thanks again for listening and you guys do what you want with your day.......and enjoy it.......Hugs from Texas.....
