Hi Tends2dogs, nice to meet you also. No, I've never heard of Les Feldick. I'm 82, and that expression is older than I am, because it's what the Scripture says. There are lots of believers here. And many people who are just friends to encourage and pray for.

If you are a mom, happy Mothers Day. Hope to see you again. I post on the widow's thread and Hello, and keep track of ShowMe on the community forum. She is fighting cancer tooth and nail. The Lord bless you this day,

I have read some of ShowMe's post.  I hope that she is a believer also.  That will give her strength, peace, and hope to take her through this journey she is on.

Tends2dogs, yes, I have 3 "kids". My son was 62 this week, my middle child is 60, and the youngest is 56. They all love the Lord and serve Him. My son married 41 years ago and he and his wife had my 3 grandkids, who are all in their 30s. My girls didn't marry when young. DD#1 married for the first time 2 years ago at age 58. My younger daughter lives here with me. Hubby and I bought this house 30 years ago, and he went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2010. Two years ago I sold the house to DD so when I go Home, she won't lose me and her home at the same time. We continue to live together as before, and I'm so blest to have her.

Glad something I said gave you comfort. The Lord is good and He takes care of His own.

One can be religious or not, fatalistic or not, but too many times in human history there were people who claimed to know the end of the world and were entirely wrong. Those who follow such fakes need to start thinking for themselves.

************** Some people have misinterpreted the Bible on this matter.  It says no man will know what day. No man then has the right to give specific dates.  However, it does say there will be signs and implies that we should be ready.

 According to what the Bible says, the beginning of the end could not happen till Israel became a nation (which happened in 1948) and also until Israel took Jerusalem back (which happened in 1968 (or was it "67"??).  It is like God to be patient and wait long because it is not his will that any should perish.

  I know some do not go by the Bible but those who do should get to know it a little better and quit making statements about "exactly when" this will happen. 

It is my personal belief that the farther away we get from God, the closer the time gets.  Also I can't find one place in the Bible where God ever broke his promise.  Everything He has ever said always come true.

  Over 1,000 times in the New Testament alone....he refers to the fact that He is the beginning and the end, the one and only God...and yes, the only hope of Salvation for this whole world.  For a Christian to say he doesn't believe that is to then call God a liar.  We didn't say it....He did!  For those who think we are pompous and pious for believing that....I would like to say.....If you call yourself a Christian and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and didn't believe that............. you would be denying your very faith!  I could never do that.  That would be total hypocrisy to believe something, to adhere to it's teaching and message, then turn around a deny the messenger and the message. 

People obviously thought the same about Jesus.....that is why He was crucified.  Many just hated His message and thought he was "full of himself, pious, and fanatic".  So, I guess if that's what people called Him, I shouldn't be surprised that it's still happening to this day.  If that is what people call us....we should not be surprised or hurt.  It is and has always been that way since Jesus walked the face of this earth.  When it gets too bad, God will, in His own time, put a stop to it.

  He waits long because he loves his creation so deeply and holds out hope that more and more people will believe.  In many other countries Christianity is on the rise....even in China!  Christianity or the gospel of Christ was meant for the whole world and all of mankind.  God loves us all equally.
