Why wait until then? You can make things right with the Lord today and then you will have the blessed assurance that when you are "absent from the body, you WILL be present with the Lord." Once you accept his forgiveness and what he did for you, you don't have to keep "making it right" with Him. It's a done deal and you are sealed in Him forever and ever.....

@spent2much It is SO simple, yet narrow is the way and so few will find it or enter into it....
Glad to hear back from a fellow Saint....member of the Body...

I don't mean this to be flippant. My husband (whom I loved more than the world) used to tell me I needed to exercise because I was overweight and was going to die.
I used to tell him, "I'm sorry honey, but my great-grandmother lived to be 115 years old (she was an Indian) and my grandmother on my Father's side (her daughter, who raised me) was at least 98 years old. On my Mother's side my grandmother was almost 90. My mother died (early) she smoked like a chimney but lived to be close to 80.
Anyway, my husband at the age of 58 (this man who ate everything right for you and worked out every day) dropped dead in front of me! No reason for his death was found.
I'm now 70 this year. I have gone many times to psychics who are the real deal. I know others who have gone to psychics. No psychic who's real would tell someone when they are going to die because they don't know that. Even if they did, they wouldn't tell the person.
Here's my point. I believe only GOD knows when a person is going to die. I believe he expects us to care for his world and everything in it. No one leads a perfect life. I think GOD knows that. He does want us to right our wrongs (I believe), whenever possible.
So, I'd say (which means zip) if I were you, I'd make right now (while you can) everything you feel you've messed up on and you want to make right. The reason? Because, honey, none of us knows what tomorrow will bring. You might not be able (for whatever reason) to make right whatever you want to.
So, help make the world better now and go do whatever you feel needs to be done. That's what I'd tell you.
And for goodness sakes stop worrying about dying. Why in the world would GOD tell this person who is going to die and when?

So does that mean she's going to break every Commandment, as often as she can until she's 83 1/2....? And then start begging forgiveness...lol.

@tends2dogs...beautifully said...John 10:28 - I give unto them eternal life (eternal life & eternal security) and they shall never perish (we can NEVER lose our salvation) and neither shall anyone pluck them out of my hand.

Amen, @SurferWife, it is so beautiful and simple, yet so many are blinded. Jesus said it would be like this. Glad to meet another saint!

First, @chrystaltree, I didn't mean to heart your post, just reply to it.
If she truly accepted the gift of salvation by accepting what Christ did for us all on the cross, I doubt she would WANT to sin.......doesn't mean that we don't. We are human, we are born sinners. It is just that we are convicted when we do sin because we know it isn't pleasing to the Lord. As far as breaking the commandments, that was the Law that God gave to Moses to give to Israel, God's chosen people. When Christ died on the cross, the bondage of the law was lifted and the age of grace began. We are no longer under the yoke of the law. ALL of our sins have been forgiven. We just have to believe that Christ did this for us. It is that easy. Can never lose it, no matter what you do.

Here's another sinner saved by grace through faith plus NOTHING. Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.
Nice to meet you sisters in Christ.
