Re: ROBO (Advertising Calls)

Require landline for security system here but as soon as they remove that requirement I'll get rid of it.  Verizon landline offered free nomorobo.com and that works good enough since I don't answer calls I don't recognize.  I've told my family that and if they ever call me from a number I don't recognize, leave a message.  If they need help or something I can call them back.

The sad thing - spoofing using our area code and local prefix is bad bc in this community they have a group for neighbors helping neighbors.  If you need temporary help bc your sick or immobile, you are to call someone on the list so we have put it out there to leave a message if you need help bc most of us no longer answer numbers not recognized.  n't recognize

Iphone has the block number that I use quite often.

I think they have figured out a way to get around the no-call lists. I am now bombarded daily by sales calls...with caller ID showing them coming from all over the country and a few from other countries. I block them....then more keep coming. If someone can develop an app for stopping these calls that works,  they will make a fortune...

I just say something rude (usually ends with ..."you!") and hang up. I hope whoeverr monitors that stuff gets the point.  And I should add I don't often answer those calls but once in a while the spirit of mischief overcomes me (ME????? are you kidding??? Woman LOL)
