Postage Rate Increase

If you need any postage stamps, you may want to purchase some soon.

The federal regulator overseeing the US Postal Service has approved a plan to raise the price of first-class stamps from 55 cents to 58 cents; the change will take effect Aug. 29.

From reading previously some posts about sending Christmas cards, etc. I know many of you do not use many stamps as you do not send cards, you pay your bills on-line or in person, etc. but in the event you do need some stamps, just a fyi the price will be going up as of August 29th.

It doesn't matter to me, I don't mail anything other than a dozen or so Christmas cards. I still have a lot of forever stams that I bought years ago.

Will buy at least 100. I still send greeting cards.

If you buy 100 stamps, mail 100 things, it's a $3 increase. You'd have to mail an awful lot to worry about it.

@BunSnoop Thank you for the reminder. I still have some things that I mail and I like to have a book of stamps on hand.

@Sooner Our business mails a lot. Will have to consider passing that increase along to our customers.
