I got an email telling me that my "Cloud account" had been locked for security reasons and that I ""must respond within 24 hours" or it could be locked permanently. The first thing I thought of was my pictures and other things stored in the cloud! I did not want to lose them! So I clicked on it and started to fill in my address, etc. I was just about ready to hit the submit button and thank goodness, my I pad has amazing security built in, a screen popped up in bright red and said "This is a harmful website and this is spam, are you sure you want to proceed"? I exited out immediately! Beware, the hackers are getting very clever!

Never click a link in an email where you didn't request information, etc.  Instead if you have a question about your account (any account!) go directly to the account's site.

There are tons of warnings about clicking on any links in any emails.  Most reputable companies wouldn't even think of adding links in their emails.  Apple would never include a link.   It's a good thing that they had that popup warning.

This is Scam 101.

I never click on anything in an email except for just a select 2-3. This is an obvious scam.

"Cloud", a 24 hour window and locked out forever are triggering words.  Watch for them and laugh while you report it.

I get this one a lot.  Never click on an email.

I am so annoyed with these scams!! I got one about my Cloud, Apple account, Netflix and have many emails from a fake Xfinity scam telling me I'm late paying my bill. They all threaten that my service will be ending. It takes time to confirm that my accounts are in fact ok as I go directly to the app or website to check it out. Not sure how we can combat this????
