I collect bobble heads.  Well, this a.m. while strolling around Center City (Philly) I walked into this Pope Francis souvenir shop. Guess what I found & purchased???????

Yup! A Pope Francis bobble head. yahoo.gif

a good resemblance, a little sacreligious - and I mean nothing by this.  But good for to add to your collection. Bobbles just sort of freak me out.

I just hope no one ever makes one of me - sometimes I feel sort of bobble-like!!!!

@Mz iMac that is a really good likeness of the Pope.  Did that shop have a lot of good items?  Any chance that you are going to try and see the Pope when he comes?

I live in the Philly suburbs and after hearing about all the security and how hard it will be to get into Center City I'll just watch on TV.

That's funny!  When I went into my local Bed, Bath & Beyond the first thing that I saw were Pope dolls (but not bobbleheads).

It really sounds like it's going to be crazy that weekend!  Both of my kids live in Philly.  My daughter is just a few blocks south of the security zone and son is a few blocks north.  Daughter has plans to leave for the weekend but I don't know what my son is going to do.

I feel bad for people like your son, they have to move their cars out of the security zone and park wherever they can find a space.  It could be blocks from where they live.

I know it's exciting that the Pope is coming to Philly, but boy the level of security is scarring a lot of local people away.

Was in the Dining Car last week.  They are offering a Pope milkshake.  Silly.

(For those who aren't from Philly, the Dining Car is a popular northeast Philadelphia diner that was once featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives)

He's coming to DC for 3 days next week, well - 2 1/2 days.  Tuesday night - Thursday.  They're calling for Inauguration-level crowds.

I'm Catholic but I find it so odd the cult of personality that has risen up about this particular Pope.
