I have a very nice 4x6 colored picture of my mom and dad (both deceased) that has faded over the years (probably about 50 years).

 

I remember at one time seeing that Walgreens does picture restorations.  Have you ever had it done?  Did you use Walgreens or do you have any recommendations?   Do you have any ideas what the approximate cost is?   I would probably like to have 1 done for myself and maybe one to give to my brother also as a gift.

I went to a local camera store. 

 

I had a picture of my Dad (from WWII days) reproduced and enlarged. They did an impressive job. The photos turned out crisp and not faded. So they were working with an old photo too.

@BunSnoop  I agree with @drizzellla . I would go to a local camera store, or perhaps a trusted local professional photographer for a reference. Walgreens sells drugs and sundries.
