Perfection? The struggle, why?

The host is not perfect.

The guest is not perfect.

The product airing is not perfect

The product schedule is not perfect.

The clothes are not perfect.

The weather is not perfect.

Mother is not perfect.

Father is not perfect.

Neighbor is not perfect.

Picture is not perfect.

DH is not perfect.

DD is not perfect.

countless imperfections.....

True perfection is not possible.   Life is not perfect.   Chasing the flaws would be an endless, unfulfilling, joyless world.  Drop that struggle and be free.

disclaimer:   this is a personal opinion of one imperfect person who embraces her imperfect life and world.

~~today may be my last.....i choose JOY!~~

My little dog is almost perfect though, perfect for me.  I go for "positive not perfect", but that's me and I'm not perfect.

Yes, you're right.  My two little girls are as perfect to me as they can get. SO much unconditonal love; something I've never gotten from people, except for my mother.

Re: Perfection? The struggle, why?

as long as you're happy & treat others as you like to be treated  why put ones self thru the pain of trying to be "perfect"!

I have to remind my son & DIL about that with my GD everyday - she is young and in the formative years of her life...let her be a kid! (Just like we did as parents to you!!! And you turned out OK - not a brain surgeon but good provider & parent).

So true. I'm still trying to get my back yard to the " perfect"

status though, keeps me out of trouble (:

Did anyone learn anything or get a message from the OP's thread?  I think I already knew that.

@qualitygal, as I finished reading OP's thread I was thinking, I think my Khloe is perfect. I go for positive too.

Re: Perfection? The struggle, why?

I don't really know anyone who is trying to be or wants to be perfect for that matter.

I think most are just trying their best to be happy and I think everyone probably wants to feel loved and also needed.

I know I do.

And in terms of others, I do think my children are perfect for meSmiley Happy

And my granddogs could do no wrong in their grandma's eyes.

Same for my grandson.

Not even "practically perfect in every way"-in their mamas heart, they already are.

Re: Perfection? The struggle, why?

Many years ago, when I was much younger.  Maybe around twenty or so, I was somewhat 'particular'.  Around the house, with my various knick-nacks, etc., etc.  I eventually discovered that some people highly detest and will go out of their way to 'sabotage' particular people.   Anyway, at that time I learned to relax and not worry about 'this and that', mainly because it prompted a few others to take a step back and became less obsessed in their efforts to sabotage my lifestyle.   Sounds funny now, though.   What some people will do and say to other people's lifestyles.  'Go figure'.  I'm guessing that they had nothing else better to do in their lives, and were acting very high-school or middle-school-ish.  I, on the other hand, respect other people's way of life and are happy that they're happy.  Oh, well...................

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
