It's your choice but we would hate to lose you. Those of us who set up the site have worked very hard to make it a welcoming ,interesting & safe place for all.

@NicksmomESQ I get that it was hard work and had to be set up very quickly. I really appreciate the time that it took and another place to go. I'm more than willing to give it a shot. I'd hate to not have all my buddies to communicate with over many subjects....BTW, still going to help, support, etc. and at night, DH's pitching in to get me accustomed to the new digs. I certainly am not dictating the discussions there. Everyone needs to decide what's right for them AND I promise to give it a fair shake.

I haven't seen much discussion about QVC there. Maybe, they will change the name of the board later after it's tweeked and more people sign up.

Try giving it a chance. I don't want to see you leave us permanently. You have a lot to offer.

I will become more engaged there when I learn the ropes, but will stay here, as well, until the forum closes. There are still familiar faces here. Maybe, I can encourage them to sign up.

@Desertdi You warm my heart. It'd be devastating for me, too if I lose the connections I've made here over more than 15 yrs. (even though it still says 2010). LOL. You all mean the world to me, honestly. I've shared my knowledge with most of you and many of you have appreciated that. I know that. I will be "there" and do my best to learn the site. I know you'll all be patient to let me ask questions if I get confused, lost or just sc*ew up along the way.

***When I started w/ Bobbi, computers were rare. A few of the financial people used them, but we were writing letters, by hand, to stores, customers, etc. It wasn't until my kids got home computers in junior high that I even looked over their shoulders and was amazed!

When I worked part time for DH, when he went into practice, I made his appts. and kept the books/records by hand, too. Computers were never a part of my life until I needed to email, shop on sites, etc. Since I still enjoyed the personal touch of handwritten letters, I never needed to learn all about computers, browzers, EDGE, WORD, settings, etc. I never used them. So Guys, please have patience with me!!! LOL

@Shanus, You raise many valid points. I have not changed over to the other forum, and I doubt I will. And I certainly won’t join QVC on Facebook. My reasons for not joining the new forum are many. I am not part of a group here. I tend to be more serious rather than amusing. I am sure I annoyed many with my emphasis on the COVID vaccine.

I wear petite clothing, and long ago saw that QVC wasn’t interested in expanding those offerings. The very slow shipping has been also been harmful.

Like so many others, my DH and I have mostly been at home for a long time. Face time with family/friends isn’t the same.

This place was my lifeline to the outside world with people from all over the country, living different lives, with different interests, sharing joys and sorrows. And then, wham. Forget fostering good will, forget the many posters who have been here for many years—who cares?

I have no interest in purchasing from QVC at all.

Yes, shipping may be slow from from other sites, too, but as I've stated before, most stores offer 40% off or more to compete for customers. Q's "sale prices" on over priced goods and then adding back $5.50 to maybe receive the item in 3 weeks was never acceptable to me.

Over the last few months, I've received the same 3 pr. of Earth Origins shoes, all the wrong size...I've waited on the phone way too long for CS (sure we've all been there) to re-order a correct size and only get another pr. also the wrong size. The same thing happened with a robe. It was sent in a Missy when I ordered Petite. Then the Petite arrives, too meaning lost shipping dollars to me, sending it back (even w/ a free label) and trying to keep track on my VISA of all these returns, charges, refunds, etc. Obviously, the staff is not up to snuff and the company is being run by inept employees. I no longer wish to put my money here OR discuss it on another new forum. As soon as I'm sure all refunds are posted on my VISA, I'm canceling my account, definitely have stopped watching and I'll be OUT.

Yes, when and if I figure out the new site and it's more about us, as people/friends, I'll be happy to stay and learn to navigate. I really am not willing to change "forums" to just discuss more complaints about Q.

If the board was staying open, would you feel the same way? Would you have stopped shopping here and returned unopened packages? Your rant is without merit
