Overpriced Amazon with No Deals!

[ Edited ]

Thinking about getting 2 more music cds and maybe a shirt for my daughter. Don't need them by Christmas.

They are currently on Day 9 out of 12 days of deals. By Friday, will they be on to some new offer?

I do not shop often with them and I am not a Prime member.

Just wondering, all you Amazon shoppers, does anyone know if they will offer a percentage off as we get closer to Christmas? Thanks!

No doubt there will be a lot of great deals as time goes on but Amazon does not play that percentage off game.  If you see something you want at the price it is now, buy it.  You can't count of it being cheaper in a week or being around in a week.

I am a big bargain hunter, and I have found that Amazon (most of the time) does not have the best prices for any thing other than CDs or books.  If you need a shirt, you probably get better prices at JCPenny, Macy's or big box stores.  Target is running a online only sale today $20 off every $100.

Re: Better Upcoming Amazon Deals?

I order from Amazon a couple of times a week.  I always do a Google search and check other places for prices before ordering.  Amazon isn't always the cheapest but usually is for the things I purchase.  I have never bought clothes at Amazon.  I very rarely find something that's advertised as being on sale.

Re: Better Upcoming Amazon Deals?

Was going to buy just one cd today from Amazon at $9.99 with free shipping

Well with tax added in, now the item is not eligible for free shipping! Not Buying!

The t-shirt I had my eye on has gone up in price. Not Buying.

The second cd, Lana del Ray was $6.99 a few weeks ago now $13.97. Doubled in price!

Guess what, Amazon, you are trying to rip off people if they don't keep an eye on the prices.

I am buying at Walmart.com, they have the same items and BETTER PRICES.

People make fun of Walmart but they are cheaper.

It all comes from China anyway. It is not like Amazon's stuff is better.

Thumbs down to Amazon.

No, they won't give you any deals, as Christmas nears. In fact, the price may double- you never know with them.

The very LAST order I placed with Amazon was for Betty Spaghetty dolls. I tried ordering from Toys R Us 3 times, but their site was having issues. I had a time crunch because it was a birthday gift.

The day I placed 1 of the doll sets in my cart at Amazon, it was $11.49. The next day I came back & it was $24.99!! I kept checking back, & the price stayed.....so that's what I paid (grrrrr).

ONE DAY after I placed the order, the price went back down to $11.49. They track what you look at, & what you put in your cart & saved sections. Then they manipulate the prices however they want. I've been noticing this & keeping track of it for a long time.

I used to order a lot from them, but I'm done- can't stand them for a number of reasons. I ordered several Hallmark DVD's from Ebay this year. Compared to Amazon, I paid a little more for some, & less for others....it was a wash. I'd much rather give my business to the smaller sellers over the corporate HOGS.
