@RollTide2008   That is funny!  ok.....now I don’t feel quite as bad with 10 bottles of body wash!  I’m just glad they aren’t 32 oz.

Riding the wave of free shipping in the Now. Who would I be without the thought, I am over purchasing?

@bonnielu

Well, I am not "overpurchasing", but I have a Mystery Purchase in my closet.

I was sorting through clothes about 6 months ago, and came across a pair of black slacks, obviously new and never been worn.

The slacks are my size, my favorite color, and a brand I often purchase.  The mystery is they are a style I cannot believe I would ever wear!

I can't believe I would have ever bought them without giving them a lot of thought.   I have NO IDEA how they got in my closet .... but they fit nicely.

Still mulling over this one ......  LOL   Woman LOL

You ask "is it just me"?

This I can tell you. "It ain't me".  Been a frugal buyer since I first started working, at 8 years old. Buy duplicates and not know it?  Nope, I spend too much time deciding the 1st putchase, and most of what I buy, is not put away for later use.

@hckynutjohnYou are a man.  You wear the same thing every day.  You probably have four pants and six shirts you wear. Admit it. Woman Very Happy

You got 1 thing right, I am a man. But when it comes to the number of pants and shirts? You missed that by a mile.

I have so many shirts from running Road Races/Hockey Tournaments/Winter Olympics, I gave a lot to charities. Throw in jackets/hoodies/hockey jerseys? Fills up 2 of our closets, not to mention the number of drawers.

Same thing every day! Nah, I like to change up colors both upper and lower. And then this time of the year! Change from thermal long sleeves to cotton short sleeve, just during the day.

You missed the Bulls Eye on this one.  =^..^=

That is FUNNEEEE!!!

Makes me feel a lot better when I look at my 15 bars of the full size Beekman soaps I have...that I cut in half because I don't want to drop a slippery 9 oz bar of soap on my foot in the shower ...they last so long I'll need  years to use them up!!!

That's the problem with buying sets of stuff....or large bottles. It takes forever to use them up!!

For those interested, I cut those large 9 oz bars of Beekman in half by removing from the wrapper and placing the bar on a paper plate, put it into the microwave for one minute ( mine is a 1000 watt microwave) and cutting it in half with a serrated knife like bread knife when it comes out. The soap will be warm to hot, but will not melt into goo or lose it's shape!

Let both halves cool, then put one in the shower, and the other back in the Beekman wrapper with the date you cut in two on the wrapper ( just for fun to see how long it lasts).

Only me taking a shower here each day, so it lasts a long time!

I have done that with a few items, but not many. I think when the COVID lockdown started, I simply never wore many of my new things I had purchased because I wasn't going out. My attire was almost all wear-around-the-house type things. When it was time to start going out and about, I had fogotten about some new things I had ordered and put away.I guess my two purges during the lockdown weren't deep enough since I just donated things hanging in my closet; never looked at things in boxes or shelves. It was nice to find another pair of white jeans so now I have two!

@hckynutjohn OK.  I was wrong. However, you can't count advertising or award, concert or gift message shirts.  That's not fair!!!!!

We're talking about clothes we purchased here.  Woman Happy

I will buy an item that I have bought before and really loved.... like Sketchers but in different styles and colors.  I've done the same with certain tops and especially pants I like, but I know I'm doing it and really don't want to waste our money so I'm careful.  Same with groceries.  BUT I have to tell you a funny story about some donations.  I donate frequently and went into the thrift store weeks afterwards and found a couple of items that I thought were adorable and bought them.  Came home with them and DH said, "I thought you gave those away"..... LOL, yup.... bought my own stuff back!!!

Oh well.... it went to a good cause and I'll probably keep them since I liked them so much... LOL!! .

that's funny.   Oh my goodness ...
