That brought back ggod memories. I was 11 or 12 and my mom would send me down to our town square to buy her nylons from the lingerie store. She wore nylons with a garter belt and she was very particular about the shade. I always thought that was weired because they were so sheer that the shade didn't matter but she had a fit if she did not get one of the two shades she wanted. She gave me a note with the shade and I'd watch the lady behind the counter select them and place them in that flat box and wrap them in tissue paper. I loved going in that store because the sales ladies and customers were so dressed up in lovely dresses and make up with fancy hairstyles. I wanted to look just like them!

@on the bay I still wear pantyhose in spring and early fall with short skirts or dresses. I wear tights in the colder weather. In summer I always wear maxi or midi skirts so no one can see my legs anyway. Bare legs just don't look right, no matter how tan they are. Pantyhose don't just give the legs color but the lycra in them actually give them a nicer shape and they also hide any imperfections like veins, scars, etc. I don't find them all that uncomfortable; no more so than tights or shapewear. I will never understand how women who say they never wear them because they are uncomfortable have no problem with tights. Tights not only come in control top, but they are heavier so you'd think that women who don't like pantyhose wouldn't like them either.
