NO PAPERWORK OR RETURN LABELS FOR MOST SITES

I mostly order online for clothing, beauty, etc. I'm finding it so annoying that most companies no longer include any details in the received packages and no return labels.

After receiving 4 pkgs. yesterday, I spent hours looking for emails with order numbers and then trying to print return information. I'll definitely be cutting back on ordering.

Anyone else finding this too much bother?

I will say when I get my email of the order confirmation I do save it in a file but don't print it,  for easy access to information. I'm glad I don't get all that paper to have to save or throw away later and less manufacturing costs passed on to me. I know exactly where the file is and have subfiles per company. Easy.

I've never had any problems finding a return label. Most companies provide them or have you fill out an online return form and then print the label.  I rarely buy from places that make me pay return fees.

I understand your point and totally agree.  I have to return an item received yesterday with no return slip.  Today I have to call customer service to get a return form mailed to me.  I don't have a printer as it is too costly to keep a printer to print a  couple of things a year.

They may think the elimanation of the return slip discourages returns but that does not work on me.

Q - still there on some items

V - no longer on most items

C - not for the customer

Update

I just got off the phone with CS and was told that this item I want to return is inelegible for returns.  What is going on here?

Re: NO PAPERWORK OR RETURN LABELS FOR MOST SITES

I noticed this years ago and it has never bothered me. I don't find it a bother and I don't spend hours searching through emails.  Right now QVC is the one of the few places I receive return slips or packing lists.

If I receive an item I would like to return (I have one this week from ******'s sporting goods).  I simply go to the companies website to look up my order and click that I want to return the item.  Its all a very easy process.

I don't use a printer often either but don't use that as an excuse at all.  I purchased one for $30 during a back to school sale.  It is used once a month.  Its small and serves its purpose.

Another great change that is not what is more convenient for the customer but what is more convenient for the company!  I don't care for this either, but it's what it's come to!  I am not crazy about ordering so much from amazon but there is one thing they do that I really like currently -- which will probably get changed because it is easy --- and that is the fact that you can just return things to your local kohls store with not much bother at all.  You do need that little code thing -- I forget what it's called -- but that's pretty easy to find, but you don't even need the original packaging or need a return label or anything.  Most companies that I have dealt with are much more involved to deal with.  If you just have a phone and no printer I don't know how you handle all of this?  I am not good with technology at all, so I'm sure others here know....

Yes- So annoying.  It's all over. I got notified via email that I have a balance at Quest Diagnostics ( bloodwork done). And I need to go to their website to pay- They don't  send invoices anymore- Arghhhhhh.
@AngelPuppy1  is exactly correct, the company saves money at my inconvenience-

I don't care for all these changes either- 😳

Yep.  I think they're trying to save paper, therefore, money.

Your return information is on the label on the front of the package.  I've been doing this for a month or two.

Spending hours going through emails?   That's a lot of time.  You must have a lot of orders.

I get paperwork with most of my orders.  I don't think it's a big deal to not get paperwork.  I imagine with so many thefts of packages, they don't want people's order information so easily available.
