[ Edited ]

@phoenixbrd   Thank you. I think I check here at least once a day and see what's happening, etc. I will miss that and the friends I've made.

It is a sad day!  I am heart broken about it!

David Rawlinson is the new CEO of QVC.  If we let him know just how much we like the forum and how it is worth their while to keep it perhaps they might change their minds about shutting it down.

@Kachina624   I just canceled all shows set to record. I also had the package for a recent purchase that came within the 30 days. It's going back...$6.95 for the last time. I wrote on the return sheet, "NO FORUMS NO QVC NO PURCHASES. It felt like my protests in the 60's.

@Shanus    I must say your new mantra has a certain panache.  I like it and the boys in receiving are going to wonder what the heck it means.  We all need to make a statement.

@Kachina624   My biggest satement is canceling any orders (CS said "NO") and return any I can't unopened  w/ "return to sender". If enough people do that, maybe someone will get the message.

Re: NO FORUMS...THE MOST SAD FOR....

The day these boards are gone I will cancel my QVC account. I will call corporate to do it and explain why.
The sales they make go beyond this board. If I read about a product on these boards, I tell friends and family who are not on the boards and sales are also generating from word of mouth on what is being posted here.
I sent an email this morning to the new CEO and also to a few family members who like to buy me QVC gift cards and told them my account will be closing, won't be shopping with this company anymore. I've had an account since the beginning.

Facebook for me is not the answer, I've tried QVC on Facebook...very annoying to have my newsfeed constantly showing so many things QVC. I unfollowed after giving it a try and have not missed it at all. With these forums, a person and pick and choose what to read, much more enjoyable.

I have not posted much over the years but have been here from the beginning, got my Mom hooked on QVC when she visited me years ago... after taking her on a studio tour, her home became mostly QVC products, she loved talking on the air and when visiting we would go to studio audience shows. We met Laura Gellar during a live audience show, she made up my mom and I, wow, we looked beautiful after Laura used her talent and makeup on us!  When these forums were allowed to let us exchange emails, my mom would be in touch with many of the ladies on the Back Fence forum, some would visit her in Florida, met another lady here in PA and we shopped at the QVC outlet together. Just a wonderful community these forums are and I'm very sad they will be gone. Lots of memories over the years. This is what made QVC unique and without this community they are no different from shopping anywhere else.

@sonson   Well said. My account will be closed, too. There is nothing sold here (over priced) that I can't purchase elsewhere. I think Q will be SHOCKED to see the ramifications of this insensitive decision.

Re: NO FORUMS...THE MOST SAD FOR....

@sonson - That was a beautiful post and you hit the nail on the head with your last comment.

Without these forums, QVC is just another online website.  Nothing special; nothing to maintain the loyalty of some long-time customers.

And given that their prices are no longer competitive, their shipping slower than almost any other site?  Many will be moving on.  But I doubt the new CEO cares.  He'll be all fired up to blaze a new trail.

Good luck with that.

Re: NO FORUMS...THE MOST SAD FOR....

I have to say I'm not too sure how well, respected, enjoyed or thought of I am here but I will say I have read many many posts, have come to recognize many of your names and have enjoyed each and every post.  Whether I agreed with you, disagreed, whether you agreed with me or disagreed with me, i always walked away from here with more knowledge than I came in here with.  I just want to thank each and everyone of you for the contributions you made.

We came here and shared laughs, joy, happiness, love, excitement and we also shared the sadness, emptyness, heartbreak, lonliness, sickness in our lives.   In the end it came down to you knew you could come here and find a hand held out for you, help, direction, and someone to listen.  Again not everyone would agree, but all understood in the end, we are entilted to our opinions, and we enjoyed our differences.  People were saved from tragic purchases, learned how to return, get refunds, find what they were looking for and where to go to talk to someone that would care.  We learned from all the other contributators here and their life experiences.  And what a wealth of information it was.

QVC can take the forums, but they can't take what we walk away with.  And walk away many of us will.  Again we might come back for a purchase or two.  But since they took away what we considered part of our "shopping experience" here, and did it quite coldly, none of us owe them an ounce of loyalty.  Sorry, as I said before on another forum  You turn your back on a segment of your customer base, and you have lost me.

Re: NO FORUMS...THE MOST SAD FOR....

I just tried signing up at that proboards one and it keeps asking me to start a new board.  So I just went up to the top to login so I can find my way to existing boards and it won't log me in.   I must have messed that up somehow.   I'm about 99% giving up on any of these new board configurations.  Smiley Sad
