My husband has been involved with a group like this since losing his job several years ago.   Gets him out of the house, keeps him connected, and has helped him tremendously with adjusting to disability retirement.

@dex  That is probably a healthy thing....Men need to talk with men... maybe my hubby will find a group to lunch with.

Where I live it's the men who always walk to the mailbox each morning. They solve all the world's problems there. My DH watches for the mailman so he can be there when everyone else is there.
