No way am I standing for a concert.

I am in my early 50's and in good shape and I would not pay good

money for the tickets and then not have a seat.

The last concert I attended was last fall at a football stadium, went

to see Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel. Had a blast.

I must be terribly anti-social. The mere thought of going to a concert at any kind of stadium is a big turn-off for me. Too many people! And then standing shoulder to shoulder, just NO!

I do love going to small musical venues where you can have drinks, dinner and of course your ticket to the show sitting at a small table or banquette.

Re: Music Concerts Today

[ Edited ]

This is Sunset Amphitheater. Brand new and ready to open this summer in my city, Colorado Springs. It seats a total of 8,000. You can see that it has actual seats, table-setting seating areas plus grassy areas to stand or sit down on. I think it's very well laid out and it's not very large at all. Pikes Peak off in the distance as the sun sets.

First off, I love Billy Strings' music.

As I've aged, it's more and more difficult for me to stand for long periods, I get dizzy for some reason to the point of passing out. The last concert I went to was a Tedeschi/Trucks show. It was a small intimate venue but everyone was standing. I had to stand in order to see the stage but still had to sit down periodically and just miss parts. Way back in the 70s when I would attend lots of concerts, I was able to easily get front row tickets so I could sit, although it wasn't an issue back then. I think I've passed the point of attending inside concerts. Give me a blanket on the ground outside.

I stood for countless concerts in my younger days. Now, I can't stand that long so am picky about the venues.

@ECBG   A standing concert... No way. I think about all the "Swifties" who stood for hours before the concerts started and the hours afterwards to leave the venues.

Besides hating the packed in crowds, I'd have to p*e at least 6 times!!!

I love concerts especially since I have been opened to varied artists through Pandora!

Although, this isn't my season for anything but an indoor concert, Billy Strings was here this past weekend.  He's amazing, plays a variety of instruments, mega talented!

Some concerts have you STAND the entired time (nothing to lean on) with rare, limited seating available.

There is no way I am going to a standing concert!

Would you stand for a concert?????

Yes!

YES, I have been to MANY concerts in the past where I had to stand. Some were at small venues. The one where I has to stand the most was at the  Aspen Smowmass jazz/blues festival. It was a 3 day event with a minimum of 10 bands each day.
