I use the remaining sock for dusting...just slip it on my hand like a glove, spray it with some Murphy's Oil and dust...I don't mind when a sock or two goes missing, but you do have to wonder where the heck they went!

We force the buddy system on them at this house.  I always safety pin them together at the heel or toe – no abandoned socks allowed at this house…they must leave together as a couple, just as they arrived - no matter what their issues together may be.

@YorkieonmyPillow I started a thread in January titled "Has anyone figured out where socks go?" and it's full of really funny responses.

I wash socks in a mesh laundry bag.  The socks that go into the bag are the socks that come out after washing.

@Brooklynny, I did & do the same - socks get washed & dried in the mesh bag ... all are accounted for.
