Listening To Music

[ Edited ]

I wasn't sure where to post this. Just wondering if anyone makes time to listen to music? As I've gotten older, I found myself having to make time to listen to music. I enjoy music and how it can change my mood. What is your favorite music genre? I can't wait until Christmas music starts!

I love music and try to listen to it as often as possible.  I always have music on in the car to relax me.  Music brings out so many emotions, memories.  So many songs bring me back to my younger days , decades of music.  I cannot pick a favorite song, group, singer, there are so many I love.  I lean toward blues and Jazz but embrace classical, rock, pop.  When stressed or anxious, I turn to my music for peace of mind and calm.

I usually only listen to music while driving in my car. I've had a subscription to Sirius Radio Channels for years. Now that I'm retired, I don't drive as much as I used to. I find that I only listen at home when the cable and internet are out.

I work at home 40+ hours per week.  I listen to Amazon Music & Sirius Music (we bought a lifetime home subscription when they merged with XM)

I'm a 70s "girl"  also love Christmas music all year long

I have music on all the time.  I either have alexa, you tube, or CD's going.  I love coffee house type music.  I play Patty Griffin. The Wailing Jennie, Leona Lewis, Joshua Rankin, some Alison Krause and others.

Music is very important to me and the amazing streaming options really enrich my life. I’ve created many personalized stations on Pandora, including classical, classic rock, 60s, bluegrass, R&B, jazz, yoga/new age,  renaissance and half a dozen Christmas stations. I have my gym playlist on Amazon music and listen to Sirius in the car.  To have so much music at my fingertips is a gift I sometimes take for granted, so thanks for this thread 🙂.

I love Christmas music!

I listen to BTS & Hanson (I have tickets to an online Hanson concerts for both this Friday & Saturday nights.) mostly.

I love James Bay Chaos & The Calm cd, but I haven't liked his other music as much.

Ed Sheeran & Pink are both amazing.

I like John Mellencamp for background music if we have company.

Elle King is fun to listen to.

I listen to Pandora everyday, and have discovered so many genres of music there. It is rare that I do not listen to music at some point during the day.😊

Tonight I had a yen to hear George Michael's " Careless Whisper, " and I was sucked into music of the 80's.  I forgot how much I loved that era, and I was singing along and had the best time. I was amazed how many songs I remembered.
