Re: Keurig Class Action settlement

@HLP I agree with you. There are law firms that ONLY spend their time looking for legal loopholes to try to do class action lawsuits. They are vultures! Most class action lawsuits are NOT in fact mythic stories focused on reversing wrongs for poor little consumers. Individuals should carefully read the case and make a moral decision if they want to participate and NOT just immediately go looking for receipts out of their personal greed.

Sounds like the settlement is a fixed amount, $31 million, so the more that people participate, the lower the amount each will receive.

From what I read, Keurig artificially increased the price of pods. If consumers paid these inflated prices, then yes they were harmed. Geez.

I have no problems with my Keurig or the price of the K-cups.  Life is short, I'm not going to stand in lline for money just because it's there.

I think the most i ever got on one of these deals was $10.  Not worth the trouble.  They're just a money grab for t h e attorneys.  Customers are an afterthought.

This isn't something that I would ever take part in

@Mj12 , and as someone who worked for a law firm that handled a large class action lawsuit against an insurance company, those attorneys deserve the money.  That was probably the worst phase of my job ever.

No one can even imagine the hours we put in on that class action suit.  I worked well into the evening and weekends for months and months.  That suit consumed a couple of years of my time.

For those who don't know this, a firm doesn't just decide to file a class action lawsuit.  You have to get certified by the Court to move forward.  Obviously the Court felt there was merit for a suit.

I would never work for a firm that did nothing but class action suits and I never wanted to work on another one if the firm I worked for chose to take it on.  It is a lot of work and we deserved every dime of attorney fees we got for it.

Re: Keurig Class Action settlement

As for this class action, there is no way I would have receipts.  I buy the K-cups predominatly from the grocery store when they were needed and I did my weekly grocery shopping.  Some were bought from Meijer, Target, Walmart, Giant Eagle and Sam's Club.  I rarely if ever ordered k-cups on-line.

I'm not sure how they would expect people to have receipts for this stuff.  Does anyone really keep grocery store receipts?

LOL, in general, i am one who saves every receipt and put them in plastic file folders by month. i save them for a few years. i save everything from gas receipts, to grocery store receipts, convenience store receipts, to the receipts on my food delivery orders.....and pretty much everything else!
