So @viva923  how do you like the mower now that you used it by yourself?

I had a 10:30 am appointment with the endocrinologist.  I got there at 10:20 am and didn't get out until 11:30 am.  Most of the time I waited to either get into the exam room or wait in the exam room for the doctor.  It tries my patience but since I only go once a year I usually get over it quickly.  Meanwhile I went grocery shopping after the appointment and was home in 45 minutes after I left the doctors office.

birdmama,

i mowed today, mower worked good, it is on #1 setting which is lowest level. my lawn is scalped but done. so i may get 10 days out of this cut will see.  it took me about 1 hour to do lawn start to finish, had to move the cord quite a bit, but knew this would happen.

I think I have my mower set on 2.5, I'd have to look.  I usually start out lower in the spring when the grass grows quickly.  Depending on the rain, I bump up the height of the cutting deck to 3 as the summer goes on.  If it's dry I go higher so that my grass doesn't wither.

Not much going on here.  We got rain twice yesterday morning.  The plants and wildlife needed it.  It's kinda cloudy right now and I think we are in for more rain.  It's heated up yesterday so no open windows for the next couple of days.

We got 4 nice waves of rain yesterday and are expecting more today.  Hopefully it won't get too severe tonight when the storms arrive.  Saves me money on the water bill.  Five will get me ten that the city I live in is gonna raise the rates again in July.

Are you talking about next door - domestic abuse situation @viva923 ?

hey all

we got some heavy duty rain last night lasted well into the night.

now we have a summer sizzler.

dh took me out to get new blood pressure monitor. my new monitor is reading off the wall super high. my doctor told me he thought the machine I have been using for past year was off/to low of readings. now i got a new machine, now i am getting super high readings. oh great, now i will worry excessively about the high readings. i hate that, i am calm when i use to take my readings, now i will be a nervous wreck.

same make, new model bp machine, more expensive. hope i can keep my bp down or i will be a total wreck

a summer sizzler today.

@viva923   sometimes these at home BP things run true and sometimes they don't.  I have an Omron BP monitor that seems pretty accurate.  I liked my first BP monitor by Omron because it had a competely soft arm cuff.  My arms are small and it allowed me to get a good fit and reading.  When my BIL was going through cancer treatment I loaned the BP monitor to my sister.  After he died I didn't bother asking for it back - seemed minor compared to his death.  So I bought another Omron BP monitor.  This isn't my model however the cuff is partially formed like this.

Omron HEM-7124 Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor

Instead of being pliable all the way around it's like the circular shape is baked into part of it.  I really don't care for it but I'm too cheap to get another one, lol.

hey all

birdmama,

i have owned 90% Omron bp kits

i got another omron yesterday, i do not like the soft cuff, i need the springy cuff, have to hard of time trying to get that soft cuff to lock into place on my arm when i am by myself. the springy cuff is enough snugness to snap into place quickly so i can line up the line. took bp this morn, HIGH again. am so tired of the high readings now. will bring this one to the next doctor check don't know if they will test it, probably not.will also bring that omron which i had for 1 year that was giving my "low readingss" according to my doctor to see just what is going on.

clothes on line. did chores, did walk.

later guys.
