I'm glad to see a post from you @Epicurean  I was this close to asking about the CT scan and I know when you are waiting for test results the last thing you need is someone pestering you about it.

I'm so sorry your BIL is suffering with dementia and my heart breaks for his wife Heart

I ordered a chair today, lol.  I have always had a fondness for any earth tone or shade of brown and I said Bernie you need some color in this house.  I bought this one on sale from Kohls.  Yea I have to attach the legs but I have so many ready to assemble pieces around the house it comes naturally to me.

I feel like I need a bright turquoise accent chair too and I'm not seeing anything I like.

iIhavebeen freezing all morning. Just can’t  seem to get warm.  It’s been snowing all morning. That fine stuff that’s kind of Icey.   I could use acouplethings from the store but not enough to get In My car.

Epi, I’m sorry your brother In Law is having such problems.  I can imagine the stress your sis is in. I’m Glad she hS you to chat with.

Got my first Covid shot Friday.  The second one February 4 if there is vaccine.  They gave them at coliseum but I had heard the mirro center was also giving them. At the coliseum you have to walk about a mike  and a half to the door (maybe an exaggeration). It always seems that way.   The mirro center is a gov research building located on hospital grounds.  I decided if I needed help, I wanted to be as close to hospital as possible.  My daughter went with me she said to observe.  That’s not the reason. I got lost the other day cause I have no sense of direction.   I turned on my gps but I forgot to put in hearing aids so I had trouble hearing her voice so I had to keep looking at screen. Merle always did the driving.  Anyway I just kept saying lord give me a sign that says Fort Wayne so I know I’m going in right direction.   And he did.     But I digress.   So Cindy webt with  me. What a well run operation.  Staff at all doors and all along the halls cheering us on.  Footprints posted on floor at proper intervals.   It was like a parade.     I had preregistered so it was just sign I.  Next station was taking copy of insurance and drivers license.  Next the shot.  The room where skit was given was huge abd Jr was given in the front. The back of the room was filled with chairs spaced correctly.  Each chair had written instructions on it. I promptly sat on mine and cindyvsquealed in me. But the attendant said don’t worry we will just pick it up and throw it away when you leave.  It sure how I feel about that. Lol.  On the wall were two large screens. One had a clock timer and the other a copy of the instructions like I was sitting on.  We were required to wait 15 minutes to make sure everything was ok.  During that time another attendant came with a rolling computer and set the next appointment.   After 15 minutes we were free to leave.   Cindy was able to park right up to the door but there was also valet parking.

They had told me I would be getting the Madura but I got the Pfizer.   There has a shorter wait time between shots.

i felt the needle when it went in. It is a very small amount of serum.  My am was a little tender at the injection site but no other effects.  If I push on my arm today I can feel a little tenderness but nothing else.   So that’s how my shot went.  I’m so glad I went to the center.      I think all the staff had taken a or course.  So friendly.  They almost made it fun.  Cindy kept laughing at me cause I was old enough to get it.  I sAid next week they’ll probably open it up to 69s and you’ll be glad I gave you this little demo.   I sure how e teachers are In The next batch.  Jill Biden is a teacher so I’d bet on it although virus doesn’t appear to be in schools yet. That’s because they follow the rules.

hey all

our state is so hapzardly ready for these covid shots, nothing yet for the 65 older crowd. you need some kind of clearence paperwork to even get in line for shot which is sent out to you. people in my state are getting downright angry with this slower than molasses send out for shots, they are still innoculating 1st repsonders which has been going on for 3-4 months now. we have our name on some kind of list at my primary doctor office they have no idea when they will even get the shot vials.

not much else guys, later.

I couldn’t get info from docs office or their phone number so went to website which for us was ingov.com.    Your state might have a website.  From there I could choose my location and time.  Good luck.

Betty @yock  thanks for letting us know about the vaccine process.  I'm 58 so if and when more vaccine becomes available, I'm low on the totem pole as far as priority.
