Good Morning and Happy New Year to friends old and new. Welcome to Back Fence.

It's not in my personality to see life through rose colored glasses. That said, I firmly believe that having a sense of humor (combined with a grateful heart) has carried me through some challenging times.

With a sense of humor I post something that I saw on twitter yesterday.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

Tried to beat you here this morning but could not do it Bernie. Happy New years to one and all. I have my black eyed peas and collards ready to go - later the cornbread will be put in the oven.

Happy New Year Freddie @Winifred The closest I get to black eyed peas in a can of them, lol. I did make some devilled eggs and my sister is doing most of the other cooking and bringing it over.

what was suppose to be a fun day turned into mayhem. gone all day finally trying to get caught up now. am exhausted.

not much here

rather a nice day, sunny, but beginning to cloud up

dh had to run 2 rugs back to bed bath beyond way to big for our small bathrooms.

anyway, not much else guys see all later.

My sister came over yesterday for dinner. We watched Son of Godzilla on Comet TV after dinner and then played a few games of Yahtzee. She left about an hour earlier than planned because it snowed while she was here and we were getting freezing rain.

I shoveled the slush on the patio and driveway/walks today in preparation for a couple of inches of snow tomorrow.

My state skipped reporting of coronavirus cases and deaths for NYE and New Years Day. The numbers today

Happy New Year to you all!

We had a nice quiet weekend at the cabin. It was nice spending time with our daughter while her hubby was out of town.
Took the Christmas decorations and tree down today. As much as I love it,it's nice to have the house back to "normal".

I go this week for my ctscan. I don't want to find something wring,but,I want to find out what the heck is causing this pain. With the long weekend I have not heard from Dr. about the results of my ultrasound.
I'm sorry to say my SIL has called hospice for my hubby's brother who has dementia. He is fortunate as he is almost 83 and has been healthy up to this point. God,I was hoping this would be a good new year,but,life goes on and we have to take the bad with the good as my Dad always said,there are people worse off then us.
