@moonandthestars wrote:@smoochy I have seriously considered changing my name - it doesn't feel like 'me', if that makes any sense and i've honestly felt a bit uncomfortable with it. To me, it's not a cool name, and I have to choose between the nick name for it (too immature at this point in life?) or the more formal version (not really me). But it is what it is and by the time I thought about changing it I felt I was older and it would be weird to change. Remember when puff daddy kept renaming himself? lol.
Funny enough I considered summer, like you, but because it's my favorite time of year and is a very free spirit name. But more seriously I thought about holly or Sarah.
Juliet is a beautiful name.
Holly, oh I love that. Also Noelle, April, Autumn. I guess I like names that relate to a season. My daughter was born in April and I considered naming her that. Her father (my ex) didn't like it so we went with something else.
when my current and much better husband were younger and more romantically inclined (read between the lines, 😉)
I told him my name was Amber Moons 🌕

I never disliked my name, but one day a friend said, "That sounds like an old cow's name!" Really hurt my feelings.
I sure didn't feel like an old cow! I was young, shapely, pretty proud of it at that time!

Worked with a gal whose name is Willamina, but went by Willa. When we would order out and go pick up our food for lunch she always gave her name as 'Gabby' she said she always loved the name Gabriela and hated her name her dad gave her at birth.

It does sound like the beginning of a "my wife and daughters went into the Witness Protection Program because I turned state's evidence in a RICO case." /s

l love my first name even though it's spelled a few different ways! I knew a few girls with it but never with the same spelling. Love my middle name too because I'm named after my favorite aunt! ❤️

I don't dislike my first name, although, I will never forgive my mom for changing her mind about what to name me a week before I was born. I was supposed to be a Stephanie but, no, my mom read a bible story and was inspired and decided I would go through life as LuvSoCal. So, to answer your question, I feel like a Stephanie.

My name is the combination of both my Mom and Dad's name. I always thought it was so "dumb" when I was growing up but now that they are both gone, I cherish it and appreciate it so much now.

I'm OK with my unisex first name, one that wasn't popular at the time.
Though there's many names I've liked over the years, if I were to change it I'd probably choose another gender-neutral one.
My middle name can stay.

Any name that doesn't come with this question...Is that with a C or a K? I reply a C & get a K anyway.
