Thank you for posting those pictures of Natalie Wood @just bee . I never tire of looking at her photos. I do think she's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.

My pleasure!
She made quite an impression on me as a little girl. Secretly wanted to look like Natalie.
She just had a special look.

I like so many of them and no actress today can come close to them except for maybe Meryl Streep. I really liked Doris Day in the movie Pillow Talk with Rock Hudson. I will watch that everything it is on TV.

My favorite actress was / is Bette Davis - on and off the screen.
Bette Davis said that, of all the lines she spoke in the movies, her favorite lines were from "Cabin in the Cotton," where Bette spoke the immortal lines:
"In the dim past before the 1950s, “Sorry, I can’t; I just washed my hair” was a common and convenient excuse that enabled women to turn down an unwelcome last-minute invitation. Washing your hair then was a very big deal. Actually, it was the drying that was the big deal. On a warm summer day you could sit in the back yard and let the sun do its work. In the winter, you could toss your locks before the hot air register if you happened to have a forced hot air furnace.

I was already in college studying theatre and film when I saw Meryl Streep on PBS in Wendy Wasserstein's Uncommon Women... and Others.
I'd already seen her in a few films but there was definitely something about her that stood out.
I always thought it was interesting that the mere mention of her name made Kate Hepburn bristle.

I could watch All About Eve all day long.
And then watch Now, Voyager.
She was fabulous.
