Re: I’ll be showing my age with this question

@qvcaddition - I agree re the movies, and I majored in Drama in college!  I no longer go to ANY movies or plays nor do I watch movies on TV.  The exception would be known comedies.  I want to laugh and there's so much not to laugh about out there in real life and in the movies.  Who needs it?

Re: I’ll be showing my age with this question

My favorite growing up was Judy Garland. I adored the Wizard of OZ and loved her voice plus just found her so beautiful. Used to be good for months so Mom would let me stay up to watch that once-a-year event! As I got older I watched all her other movies.

I always thought Natalie Wood was the most beautiful movie star.  She was just incredibly beautiful.

We got our 1st TV when I was 11 or 13, can't remember. It was black and white and rabbit ears.  Three stations.

We ate dinner together at the dinner table, discussed what each did during the day. Cleaned kitchen and sat down as a family to watch TV.  One TV for whole family.  Togetherness.

Loretta Young! She had some sort of series on TV while I was growing up, maybe about 8 AM, and she was always the star in different roles. I thought she was so glamourous. I don't know any of the actresses...or even actors...today. When I see posts here about celebrities, I always have to Google them!

Although her movies were made much before my time, I thought a young Lauren Bacall was just so gorgeous. Haven't seen many who compare to her.
