Re: I Had an Amazing Night Last Night

@GingerHead

OK, "someone" has been channeling my dearly departed momma!?  You sound just like her lol  I know both of you are right.  It's just easier said than done when you've been a night owl since the age of 16 and getting up before 11  makes for a very VERY long day Smiley Surprised

And I don't think I can duplicate last night.  I'll over think it and the expectation will keep me awake.  It has to be organic (g) But, I'll try.  I'll probably be ready for bed by 7:30 having gotten up at 6am.

Yeah, I've been told that I can be a bit of a buzz kill at times. haha

Hopefully, you can duplicate it but the last thing you need is to stress about not stressing! Take it from me it's really stressful. haha

That's wonderful!  I get one of those nights once in a blue moon!  Usually it happens in a similar way as you have described.  Going to bed very early and having music softly playing - but I like soft jazz.  You do wake up feeling like you had gone on a short holiday!

Re: I Had an Amazing Night Last Night

Not a scenerio you can force (but I knew that).  Last night I tried to recreate the night before.  I wasn't tired when I went to bed tho.  It was 11pm.  Music wasn't relaxing.  Little fact...did you know the average bedtime for an American adult is 11:37?  And the average amt of sleep for an American adult is 6 hours.  Info courtesy of Google.

DH has to work tomorrow so that leaves me making a trip to Tyler by myself for a dental cleaning.  May go down to Ulta afterwards.

I learned to appreciate soft jazz on a cruise but I have to be in the right mood for it.  On the ship, I could sit in one of the lounges for hours listening to it.

It soothes me and calms me like no other music or like nothing else.  I really discovered it on a trip years ago to FLA.  I never cared much for it before.  Now, it's my go to - it's like yoga or meditation for me!
