This morning while reading this thread I was thinking that once or twice I was wondering where my phone was and looked down and had it in my hand! Yikes-so embarrassing! 

Yes, I think too that sometimes we are doing so many things at once; thinking so many things, that our brain just gets discombobulated for a short time. Well, hopefully a short time!

I bought a large box of orange chicken from Costco, put in the trunk of the car, and completely forgot about it.  I found it two weeks later.

No need to beat yourself up ..we've all done things like that...Next time if it happens and its with vanilla ice cream just add vodka and a straw! Or make a shake...I'm serious!

I forgot a plastic container of orange juice in the car ..in the garage in winter..that was a smelly,sticky mess when it exploded..After I cleaned what I could..My car needed to be professionally cleaned..That was an expensive lesson.

@rms1954  Don't beat yourself up over a simple oversight. We can all look back and say why did I do that and try to rationalize. Life goes on and later down the road we just laugh at ourselves. Take care and just move on. Don't ever let someone make you feel less than.

Leaving ice cream out does not make anyone on the planet a loser. It’s not stupid. It’s not sad.
It’s a mistake. It’s nothing to be cruel to yourself over, it’s a misstep. It’s not tragic and you are fine. Cut yourself a break.
