@qvcfreak    I'm so sorry you are having to go through the shots, but at least they sometimes do help you not have to have surgery.  You may be really numb or sore for a few days.  Sending prayers and good thoughts your way for a pain free happy life requiring no back surgery.🤞❤️

@EastCoastGal,
OP was prescribed a medrol dose pack, which tapers the steroid dose from high to low over the course of a week.

If my Dr prescribes medication, there will be a follow up appt., even just for his CYA coverage.

@RedTop ... Thank you for clarifying what medication the OP is taking. I must have read it wrong when she was talking about it.

Yes. If a doctor prescribes medication for you there should be a follow-up appointment for sure! I hope this helps her.

Thank you, looks like the injection worked. I'm feeling a lot better this morning.

@Luvsmyfam

The short term dosage of this medication does not usually contribute to increased appetite or the moon face.  It does work to reduce the remaining inflammation in your wrist from your recent break.  Once that inflammation is gone, I doubt you have any further issues.  If you have typical aging stiffness or joint aches and pains, you are likely noticing that has improved from this dose of steroids too.  My husband says he breathes better thru his nose, as the steroid reduces his swollen nasal passages.

I had a raging appetite within days but the puffy face is definitely usually only with longer term use.

Glad you’re feeling better.
