@Luvsmyfam.  Steroids taken except for very short term can be dangerous with lots of nasty side-effects.  You may need to see a neurologist or pain management specialist.

@Luvsmyfam Oh that's great that you got the info! Yeah when I was on it same thing, gradually reduce the number of pills. Glad you are doing better!

Just a heads-up. Short term steroids can be very beneficial and some have no issues but others like myself don’t react well.

Major hunger and emotional changes are common.

You have been prescribed a medrol dose pack.  Don't be afraid to take it.  My husband takes these several times a year for inflammation with COPD flares.  The steroid does not increase his appetite, but does run his blood sugar readings into the 300 range for a few days.

Strange things happen.     After I had my front teeth replaced with implants, I had FACIAL NEURALGIA  for about a month.    It was excruciating, but luckily I have a cast iron stomach, and took ASPIRIN by the handful until it went away by itself.

@Luvsmyfam   Continue getting better...most important thing. I agree w/ others to contact the doctor's office and check with nurse or I'd ask to get a call back from the doc. You need to know the answers to your questions and also about taking steroids.
