I never did the boombox on the shoulder but did have a boombox. I used a map but I still got lost. I am awful with directions. My husband and I would be on a road trip and he would say look it up on the map. I would and say now what. 😆

All of them except the boom box. I was already too old for them. Carrying around a boom box was something the younger folks did 😄

One, only #9...still have my dad's beloved boom box and some of his opera tapes, (actually the battery radio in it has come in handy during storms) but never carried it up on my shoulder playing it loud. lol

Only JUST donated my Sony walkman a couple months ago, while "decluttering"....something nostalgic about having the old electronics but I let it go. I DO still have my Sony discman.

I actually took some postcards from our recent vacation in Cape Cod, at the owner of the old timey Inn we stay at's insistence "Take some postcards!"...I'm going to send them a Thank You on it. But we had a whole conversation about "how nice it would be for someone to receive an actual handwritten postcard!" (Before that conversation I had been thinking the same thing, that I wanted to start sending postcards again.)

I still have a "proper dusty dictionary" and Thesaurus.

So yep...guess I'm older than dirt. 😂 S'ok with me.

****Duh update...I said the "plug-in" radio above during storms when I meant the battery option! Must have not had enough coffee when I wrote that. 😝

Only 1, we did not own an Encyclopedia collection. We went to the library every week as a family. I envied our neighbors who had the Encyclopedia but looking back, going to the library together was a lot of fun. We go to explore as we wanted to.
