Good morning all.  I hope everyone has a great NYE.  Best wishes for health, peace and happiness in the new year.

We don't have plans tonight.  Expecting 3-5 inches snow, high winds and cold temps.  We will watch some NYE programming, and try to make it to midnight.  All good for us.  We love being home.  I'm going to get a pork loin and sauerkraut going in the crockpot today.  

Sending best wishes and hugs for 2026.  I'm so thankful for this thread.

Friends, these are the two prints that I got at the thrift store.  They are by Barbara Mock.  I was on the fence about getting them because I'm going for a farmhouse look in my home.  My sisters made me get them and now I'm glad I did.  At home, they look really sweet.  They are beautifully matted and framed.  Ready to hang.  I don't know where to put them yet.  They are about 8x15" in size.

@Sweet Caroline 1   These are so nice!  Geez, I may need to start thrifting!  We have a thrift store near us that so many people enjoy.  I'm trying to declutter more, but this is a special find!  A very good friend of mine went to live with a niece, and she gave me several bird figurines.  She felt terrible that her treasures would all be tossed.  They are precious, too!  For those of us that don't have children, I wonder too, where my treasures will end up too.  Very sad when I start thinking about it.

@lynnie61,  I plan to declutter a lot more now that the "ber" months are over.  So sad.  I've finished with my bathroom and almost my kitchen.  I don't have any children to leave things to and I don't want to leave a house full of stuff to my sisters to deal with.  I have one niece that is interested in my Birds and Bee's dishwear.  I still need to pack up the bowls, platter and cookie jar for her and I think that will be all.  I saw the other Birds and Bees pieces in her china cabinet while I was there for Christmas.  I'm also going to give her my Christmas dishes.  I havn't asked her yet but I'm sure that she would love to have them.  

What I'm trying to do in my kitchen is... a minimal kitchen.  I'm parting with heavy glass things and I only want the bare minimum of kitchen and cooking needs with my counters almost completely clear of items.  A place for my items to be put inside the cabinets.  With a beautiful and attractive apearance.  I've been working on and off for a little while in there now.  

Room by room I'll declutter and beautify.  I think my bedroom should be next but time will tell.  I'm mixing this declutter adverture with repairs that are desperate to be done as well.  Musha musha!  Plenty of things for me to keep busy, that's for sure.

my daughter took me to disneyworld in orlando florida-never been there-it was so much to take in at once-walked every day 6-10miles daily-am exhausted.

very cold here. getting back out for my daily walks today

Do you have any plans for the day or tomorrow?  Tonight, we are going to a friend's house for appetizers, drinks, games, and karoake.  After 2026 rings in we will leave shortly thereafter to come home.  We have no special plans for tomorrow.

@Sassy7356,  I hope that all goes well with Jason's injection.  Ouch!  It's wonderful that your daughter can take him and be with him.  Your new year eve plans sound fun and special!  I don't have any new year eve plans, I just want to be at home and settle down after the holidays.  

My local news station has been reporting on the winter storms and winds that your area up there has been hit with.  I don't know how in the world people can travel around in those conditions.  You and Jason be very careful on those roads.  Wow wee!  Happy New Year precious friend!
