I wouldn't know. We stopped getting the Sunday paper when it shrunk to the size of daily paper, that was 10 or 12 years ago. It was stuffed with adds and circulars but it wasn't the "Sunday" paper we'd known and loved in the past.

We have our newspapers delivered. Our local, daily newspaper just had an increase of $3/month. Our nearby large city newspaper that we have delivered on Sunday went up $1 per week, which makes it almost $4. To buy this one at the newsstand would be $5.
We still get a paper because, as others have said, crosswords, local news, etc. More importantly, it provides a lot of jobs.

If you have a subscription, compare with your friends. I could not believe that I was paying so much more than them. We've received the LA Times for decades. I called to complain and our price fell by so much, I wish I had done it earlier.

We haven’t subscribed in years and don’t miss it. I’m not really sure how much it is now. So much info can be found on line now.

@cuddlesmama Our local paper 7 days a week (not avail. any other way) went up to $600 a year. Crazy town!!! When we tried to renew and found that out, canceled.

I'm old school....I love reading a newspaper. I subscribe to the Sunday only NYT. For me, I adore my Sunday paper, French press coffee ritual. Smiles.

Our Dollar Tree stores sell our Sunday paper (Las Vegas Review-Journal) for $1.00.

I used to get the daily paper until their rates skyrocketed! They start out with an introductory rate, then after 6 months, it quadruples. If you want to cancel, you must call their Call Center. Only problem is, you wait on hold for 2-3 hours, then when you say cancel, you get disconnected! They don’t respond to their website either...it’s always 'down.'
Too much work for me. There weren’t that many coupons either. Some of the groceries have websites for coupons anyway. I also google a business for coupons.
botttom line for me—newspaper costs too much for something I end up recycling.

@cuddlesmama Check your grocery store's website.
One of my local ones (Kroger) does digital coupons where you click on what you want and then it adds it to your store shopper's card.
When you swipe your card at checkout, all the coupons automatically get applied. No paper necessary.

TImely posts...
I just cancelled my local paper when I realized I was spending 220.00 a year for a 6 day a week paper that is about 15 pages long on weekdays. NO Sunday edition. Coupons in Saturday paper are pretty useless to me because I do a lot of my shopping in ALDI who doesn't accept coupons.
12 of those pages are AP stories you can get free online, the rest, local want ads and such.
The "news"part is ever increasing second and third time DUI stops and sex abuse/assault stories. Police Blotter and Court Report is very popular here...rural nosy area I guess...
I don't want to read about that ******, or pay 55.00 a quarter to do so.
I live in a small town in Western PA with a population of about 10,000. I'm not from here and I don't know most of the people mentioned in the articles.
The ONLY useful information about the DUIs is now I realize a LOT of the people driving our local roads are DRUNK, at all times of the day.
I get the NY Times online and the Middletown (NY) Times-Herald Record online because I used to live in that market. At least they are 7 days a week, and the NY Times has lots of sections to read.......
