I already told my husband if we get an invite anywhere (his brother's or sister's) I am not going; he can go alone.  It is just too hot for me to enjoy. I would rather relax in my own home in AC then having a 45 minute drive to someone's else house.  (I am grouchy today, sorry).

If we  both stay home, I'll make hamburgers, potato salad and corn on the cob so DH feels he is not missing out on the Holiday.

Hoping for a quiet day at home with my husband and daughters.   We are having kielbasa with peppers and onions, baked beans, and macaroni and cheese.   Trucker daughter wants dirt cake, or a trifle made with Hostess twinkies for dessert.   

After we eat, we will sit here in our cool house and wait for dark, when our trailer trash neighbors start their fireworks.  Every year I sit in my TV room and hope they set their place on fire.   A good fire is the only way to get rid of years of piled up trash, and that rusty 1970’s trailer with 3 broken windows and no electricity.

I live in the country and there are not many places to go for a fireworks show without driving forever. So, I will probably throw some steaks and corn on cob on the grill, make a potato salad to go with it, and, being as I live in Texas where it is super hot late in day, we will dine on that in the A/C.

We voluntered to help cook (DH) & clean up  for  the party at the elks. We will be able to watch the community fireworks from their parking lot in the evening. I have a feeling we will come home very very tired.

Our weather has been much better than up north. Mid 80's , sporatic rain - usually after dark. Our humidity has been high though.

One of our friends was born on the Fourth of July and her daughter’s hosting a low-key luncheon for her. Afterwards everyone’s going to our community pool to cool off and have a picnic dinner. When the pool closes, DH and I will go home to watch A Capitol Fourth on PBS. I hope you all have a happy and safe Fourth of July!

We live in the mtns and no monsoon yet so no fireworks anywhere in the mountains.  We have 5 and 7 yr old grandsons so we will improvise.  There will be swimming, and after dark laser tag and many many glow sticks (flags, swords, necklaces etc).

Years past, it was all of the friends and their children.  Some wouldn't eat anything and I had worked so hard and the house needed to be cleaned-again!!!

Water skiing, tubing, boating, cookout. That about covers it. We'll take the boat out on the lake at dusk and watch fireworks from several different places around the area.
