@mollytoo   This is new to me. Why is "this" Easter different from the one celebrated last month? TIA.

Hello Shanus

The Orthodox Church uses the Julian calendar to calculate the date for Easter. It falls on the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon of the Spring equinox (around March 21)  and always after Passover.

When I saw Happy Easter I thought it was an old Thread. Never heard of this before. I learn a lot from the Posters.

My husband's aide is from the Republic of Georgia. Yesterday she prepared a feast of Georgian dishes for Easter. It was fantastic!
