Nice weather this week.

Yesterday, Remmy, almost thirteen, had his yearly check and was diagnosed with a heart murmur, here we go again, as my girl also had that. He seems perfectly fine and all blood work is fine, wasn't told to bring a urine sample, and he went before we left the house, so am supposed to take one in,. How to get urine from a low to the ground dog, the vet has a very long ladle which was so easy.

The echocardiogram will cost a little over $1,000 at another place, which is what I figured. I am going to wait awhile because Remmy is as fast as lightning and seems normal otherwise.

A teeth cleaning will cost $2,000 to begin with, and he has several maybe fractured teeth, who can afford this, not the average person. She doesn't think that chews that get soft while eating hurt his teeth, but no more of them anyway, I say, too bad as they help with tartar. The heart issue complicates this procedure, so will wait awhile.

I think the rain is over, so I will have to begin hand watering before too long, will take a walk through the gardens soon to see what is going on.

@hullie I'm glad they fixed your HVAC in record time! And in time for the hot Summer heat.
It was nice of your brother to help by walking Bijou. Poor pup doesn't know why you can't walk! But he wants to help! Be careful he doesn't trip you as you recover and can do more.
Everyone : My heat and air conditioning seems to be working fine. It's cooler today at 62. We had a shower earlier but it's sunny now.
I took the mail to the post office to mail bills inside. Then to Marshall's searching for Easter and birthday gifts for my granddaughter. I bought nothing!
I took the newspaper and an old Polaroid camera to the store for my granddaughter. It probably is out of film but I haven't used it since she was years younger. She was taking Tony for a long walk before working at the ice cream shop. She hears about her roommate for college soon. Plus dance competitions and work.
I told my son it seems silly to just buy stuff she doesn't want or need for Easter, her birthday & graduation. Especially since she's been learning online, so no cap & gown or dances.
I've been thinking of giving her a check to cover some school expenses since she starts in August. New clothes, dorm room decorating, etc. My son can do the scholastic stuff, ha! Always there are spare QVC boxes of jewelry, bath soap, perfume to unwrap.
It's time for another walk if the road is dryer. Snickers hates a wet tummy.

mousie I just read your posting about Remmy. One of my t.v. shows i watch faithfully the main characters name is Remmy. It is FBI (the 3rd in the series t.v. shows)FBI most wanted. that is the name of the show.

@mousiegirl I'm sorry Remmy has the heart murmur, but it's good the bloodwork was fine. I've been postponing having Snicker's teeth cleaned because she's so small.
Her pet insurance is expensive but doesn't cover cleaning. Extractions it will but it depends on the amount.
I'd rather go to the dentist or Doctor than take a pet. They don't understand. And Snickers won't eat!

I don't know what I would do if I were in their position but dumping it unbagged on the street isn't the way. Cardboard, cans, paper plates, just household garbage. Yuck! They should contact the city to see what in the world they can do. It makes me very sad for the family. I hope that something good can happen for them through all of this.

@mousiegirl, The City is taking care of it. If not taken care of in a timely manner, I may find a lawyer to help me. I should be turning the other cheek. I feel guilty.

@viva923 That is interesting, don't hear the name often.

Remmy is the name of a horse that DD trained at the barn she rode at.

I have never watched FBI, but do watch Criminal Minds which comes on just before, in reruns, also Cold Case with Kathryn Norris, and of course, SVU, which runs most days. Last evenng, when Criminal MInds ended, FBI, don't know which one, came on and looked good, but didn't watch.

I hope you are doing as well as can be expected, a lot to endure so suddenly. I think about you and Jerry often, and can imagine myself in your place if DH goes first. I have no family nearby, only DD in another state, so though I have always been basically by myself, at my age I realize that I am not as brave and independant as I used to be, which is scary.
