Re: Getting Ready To Dump Cable TV

@Icegoddess your info is incorrect. I watch the  Reelz Channel.

almost every Friday and/ or Saturday via my Peacock subscription ( with ads).im definitely watching live programming (albeit a 10 min delay required by FCC in case of gore, death, nudity they have time to block it) but tthat is how On Patrol Live worked too.

I know two weeks ago there were repeats because they were on vacation. .Sometimes when Dan is on vacation he has Matt Isman fill in.

I also follow along on Twitter while watching. When it's a repeat and not live, people don't post.its a ghost town.

A& E may own the old On Patrol Live. But definitely not the LivePD Show. They separated and created Live PD for legal reasons.

My YouTubetv is currently $72.99. It's bundled with my Frontier 1Gig internet  which is $74.99 . I save $5 a month with auto pay. Total is $156.00. I had a one year introductory of $129.00 ( which has expired).

Seems like once you're done bundling streaming services to get the content you want, you're paying the same as cable prices.

Um..nope Im paying 50% less than I used to and I'm getting at least

50% more

@LizzieInSRQ Good to know that Peacock carries it live, but you do have the names switched.

Re: Getting Ready To Dump Cable TV

We have our internet service, our old phone and cable in a package.  We don't watch enough tv to fool with streaming.  We aren't interested in movies, only watch the Wed. night network shows and maybe a Dateline or something on the weekends, church on Sundays, maybe golf.

We probably spend more time watching weather alerts live than much else.  We do live in Oklahoma. . .

@monicakm    Good luck with the husband, if he is like mine there are several he won't give up,,,which is OK, but I am losing my mind looking at different streaming services that will meet his needs.

Re: Getting Ready To Dump Cable TV

@monicakm. I only remember a couple rate increases but there could have been more. I can't remember breakfast so I can't be definite . YTTV also has Sunday Ticket for an extra fee 2here you get all the NFL games. I didn't have any trouble getting all my Eagle games without it on regular programming.

Re: Getting Ready To Dump Cable TV

I have Directv STREAM service and it comes with it's own set-top box and remote. It's for people who still want that 'cable experience' but w/o the high cost. The remote is everything. Just like I never left cable.

@Ainhisg

depending on where you live, there can be sales taxes, regulatory fees, and other digital taxes. $82.99 adds up to $100 quickly.
