@ciao_bella I m proud of ya! I thought I'd be the last person using Comcast cable on earth.January 2024 I switched to Frontier internet. YouTubeTv and AMazon Firestick to connect it all to my 10+ year old tvs. I added Peacock and Netflix and I figure I can stay in my house and watch tv for the next 50 years never repeating anything lol Omg...I get SOOOO much!
The only channels I didnt get is the History channel but half the time they played goofy reality shows anyway. I can find documentaries on other channels. The other is of the PBS channels called Create that I liked very much but I can find other craft and cooking shows.
I pay half what Comcast was charging me and zero equipment rentals. Frontier gives you the modem. Installed it all for free.
Is it as easy as having numbered channels? No, but I don't regret no longer paying for duplicate HD channels. The learning curve is not bad and I just love being able to rewind when I can, cable not going out as much as it did and literally having too much to choose from and not feeling ripped off! My internet is twice the speed too! The equipment rentals from Comcast for a decade old modem was 14.00 a month!!! Even more. For the cable boxes for 3 TVs. Byeeeeee cable!

I don't know where some of you are getting your YouTube TV prices. Here is a screenshot of the current price. We have it, and this is what we pay.

@smoochy There's another streaming service that is also said to be excellent. It's called PHILO Streaming Service. Check it out. It has a lot of channels offered.
For anyone interested just Google PHILO Streaming Service and take a look at all the channels they have. They seem to have many more than a lot of the other services and the price is right as well!

we did too, funny thing is there is still not much to watch

I don't have the Firestick. I'm a Google girly thru and thru. I do have the Google TV Streamer in my bedroom and as far as I can tell, it works just fine. I can watch our Directv on it even tho we don't have a box thingy in that room. I don't watch it tho. I've probably only tapped into a tenth of what it can do. I use the voice command feature. The big football tv in the den has that too tho (voice activated remote). That tv also does so much more than what we use it for. Being an Amazon Prime member, we can watch Amazon Prime programs. I started watching Twilight a few months ago and liked it but stopped watching for some reason. I bet I can get it on the Google Streamer. I wish we could drop Directv. It's $120/month. DH is not good with "change" but he said to give him time, he's thinking about it lol I know he's concerned about losing shows he likes.

My YouTubetv is currently $72.99. It's bundled with my Frontier 1Gig internet which is $74.99 . I save $5 a month with auto pay. Total is $156.00. I had a one year introductory of $129.00 ( which has expired).
I added Peacick and Netflix with ad versions as Nextflix was creeping up there. I pay around 7 or 8 for each a month which cut those in half getting the ad versions. I dont mind. Helps with snaCk and bathroom breaks LOL I've downnloaded the QVC+HSN app (free) because YouTubetv only has the main QVC and HSN and not their other channels. and boy that app is loaded with content and 7 channels I think. Im toying with getting PBS Passport but frankly I can't watch everything I have as it is. Youtubetv does have our PBS station om it. I've downloaded Tubi app for free, again haven't explored it yet. Amazon has tons of content i get thru my Prime account, not explored that much either. Comcast who? LOL

@LizzieInSRQ I don't think Peacock shows it live though. It's On Patrol Live now, not Live PD. A&E apparently owns Live PD which is all re-runs. And after dumping the show, they sued Dan Abrams for reviving it on Reelz. It's why I won't watch A&E.
I do watch a lot of NatGeo's Smuggled and sometimes Trafficked.
