Russell Stover is at most supermarkets.  They have a factory with an outlet in Montrose, Co., which I visit occasionally.  First time I was there, I was literally like a kid in a candy shop .  Picture this: supermarket sized space with huge tables piled high with all sorts of confections.  They also make Whitman's chocolates and holiday novelties

I like going to factories like that and would love to see the Russell Stover factory.   I actually like RS products quite a bit.

Waggoners for me also!!   Harry London of today is not the same and the quality is long gone.   This company is owned by the grandson of Harry London who uses his original recipes.

I agree that Waggoner's is really pretty good but Harry London - not at all.

Odd how the  companies broke away from the original company and then the new one makes good chocolates, yet the original one makes inferior.  Well, to be fair, it's been a while since I tried HL, but I immediately found it to be inferior.

Re: Favorite "better" boxed chocolates?

I grew up on See's candy.  I remember going into the little house in Pasadena with my penny for a sucker.   Butterscotch square is my very favorite piece and I will occasionally go into the See's store and ask for two of them!  I love the custom boxes they make with only your favorite pieces.  For some reason I find Godiva candy has a greasy mouth feel so I stick with See's.  I now live in the Seattle area and also like Fran's and Theo's which are made here.

I've never tried or seen See's at the local stores.  Maybe it's not as common in the South?

Around here the Godiva chocolates are most likely given as gifts.  I like Godiva better than Ghiradelli, but I'll be on the look out for See's.  All these posts have me craving chocolate.  When it comes to cravings, I go for a Snicker's bar. ❤️

I was in a bathroom in a restaurant yesterday, and I saw painted on the wall, "Chocolate doesn't ask questions.  Chocolate understands."  😂

@wildcat fan  I saw a t-shirt that said Chocolate Understands lol.
