Does anyone know if you can make an album on facebook and add pics in it...but the pics dont show up posted on the timeline?

I tried it and the pics always show up on timeline grrr.

I know if you put the album on Only You then they dont show up BUT I wanted to put pics in and have it for Friends to see.

Yes you can. Use your setting to control who sees them.

Save photos to your tablet or phone or computer and make it there and then repost if you want.

Re: Facebook Photos Question

I've always thought adding pictures and making albums in facebook is, for lack of a better word, WONKY!  I know I have the same issue where I don't want newly added pictures or newly created albums posted on my news feed to go out for everyone to see.  I know I always have to play around and then it appears to work differently each time and sometimes not at all.

Can you add the picture (or create the album) and mark it "only you".  I believe it will still post to your timeline but it will only show up on YOUR timeline and doesn't get posted to the news feed for everyone else to see.  Then can you go back in later and change it to "only friends".  I'm not remembering if when you do that if it will still post to your timeline and the newsfeed or not.

@shoptilyadropagain

I used to have the option on my FB to add photos from my gallery to a "comment" in almost every group, which I added to my comment. Some time back, it disappeared, and I find nothing in the settings to correct this.

I have communicated with the Administrators and Authors of groups, and they have been unable to help. Not a big user of FB, but in Auto Groups, I like to leave pictures of my race cars, and everyday cars, but no luck. Something went haywire and what, I have no clue!

@CherryHugs,  do you have someone not listed as a friend that can check your timeline and let you know if they are able to see the photos?

It is possible as the account holder you can't hide posts from yourself but are not publicly available for others to see.

ETA:  Although I no longer use FB at one time there was a feature that allowed you to see what others can see.  If it is still available you could try that first.
