@Jk9 @Shanus  Living in NC near the SC border, our weather is much the same. Today, Friday, the prediction is for record breaking heat then a low of 26 on Tuesday.

It was quite warm on Wednesday, but so windy that I heard the dog door flap open and closed a few times.

Having lived in areas with plenty of snow and rain, keep this in mind.

Unless there are massive amounts of it, rain rolls away.

Snow, you have to shovel to move it out of the way.

Rain is always preferable ... unless it freezes and becomes dangerous ice.

JMO, of course.

I'm not sure anymore--what is strange or normal.I think strange IS the new normal. I am near where @Shanus  daughter is or was in WA state and its been about 3 days staight of a pineapple express which is like a firehose being turned on high and aimed right at us--it comes from the tropics, Hawaii, and non stop heavy rain. Now there is river flooding ---again-- and all the many feet of snow in the mountains from just a week ago, is melting and adding to the rivers. Been a few land slides too. It's very mild at night --in the 50's and just a few degrees warmer during the day. Am tired of gloom and grey and rain!!!!
