FROM SNOW TO RAIN!!!

[ Edited ]

Just when I thought the wierd weather systems were at the end....several weekends of snow and ice with very cold temps....we're having many days in a row of rain.

Our garage door broke and can't use it. President's Day interfered with the workman's appt., so walking in the parking lot to get to to my car and soaked when I get there. A neighbor suggested putting a thick towel on driver's seat....great idea.

Is your weather far from "normal" ?

Pretty normal for Arizona a bit rainy and cool. Highs in the 60's but might be 85 degrees next week. To soon, to soon.

Actually, the weather on my end of southern WV is for the first time in several years, more like I remember from my school days into my 20's plus.  Cold weather arrived by Thanksgiving and stayed into April, with frequent snowfalls that seemed to stay around forever.  I do not remember mild weather at Christmas or temps in the 50's in February.

Between the short warmup, melting snow, and rain, WV is now officially in mud season and this can last into May.  The Almanac prediction is for us to see another wet spring and hot summer.

Did the spring break on your garage door?  If so, you can still roll the door up and down slowly by hand.  You can secure the door from the inside by clamping a pair of vise

grips on the door cable and frame just above the sensor, usually on the lower right side, which will keep the door from being opened on the outside until you remove the vise grips.

We had rain to snow, the opposite. Blizzard a hour North!

Our earlier snows, along with the endless frigid cold, has caused the snow/ice to last forever.  I'm looking forward to milder temperature along with some substantial rains to wash everything away.  Without some rains, ithe snow will just melt much more slowly. Haven't enjoyed this winter at all!

We started our big Spring winds about a month early this week and are entering the third day of 50mph gusts today.  Tomorrow is supposed to be worse.  It's chilly, we had a skiff of snow this morning, but is supposed to be 70° and no wind this weekend.

@RedTop   I'm not that mechanically inclined, but the apartment complex perfers to mess with the door and fix it since it's their property. I'd hate to fool with it and break it. Thanks, though.

@Shanus our weather in upstate SC is similar to yours.  We had rain last night and it's to be 73 degrees today and 77 with rain tomorrow!  After all the ice, cold and wind we had about 2 weeks ago.....

It is school vacation this week so the temps have been in the high 30's to low 40's during the day and teens at night.   Par for the course for this time of year.   The sun is getting higher in the sky and this is the usual time it starts.  Going to be sunny and in the low 40's today.  Tomorrow we have a Winter Weather Advisory for 4-6 inches of snow.   Go figure! haha
