I guess she was trying to warn me to see the whole situation , rather than just the good.

@Sweet Caroline 1   For me, it depends on what I have cooked in the pan.  My Dad, a Chef, just wiped a pan out, which I do usually, but if it is still messy after doing that, it is allowable to rise in warm, soapy water.  You want the pan to remain seasoned so food doesn't stick.  when I do this, I rub a light coat of oil, not olive oil in the pan, keeps it in good condition, and I first leave it out to air dry completely in case the towel didn't do a good enough job.

You can google for more detailed instructions, if necessary.

Speaking of pans, I bought this to scrub pans, any pan, doesn't scratch, gave one to DD also.  I bought them on amazon.

Here I am watching the Navy/Notre Dame football game and Navy isn't looking good in the first two quarters.  In my mind, the military teams like Navy, Army, Air Force should be fierce and brutal opponents.  Other teams should dread to play them.  What am I missing?
